The World Calibration Centre for Physical Aerosol Properties has following tasks:
Site audits of WMO-GAW, EMEP and ACTRIS stations on request or due to priorities given by the Scientific Advisory Groups for Aerosols
Calibration and intercomparison workshops for physical aerosol instrumentation at the WCCAP facilities
Capacity building of station personnel and young scientists due to aerosol training courses
Advice in the implementation of new sampling sites, inlet configuration, aerosol instrumentation
Cooperation to scientifically evaluate aerosol measurements
Twinning partnerships to support aerosol programs worldwide
Development of Standard Operation Procedures for physical aerosol instrumentation
Cooperation with EMEP, European research infrastructure network (ACTRIS) and the German Ultrafine Aerosol Network (GUAN)
